Position SummaryWe’re seeking a Lead Director to join the Corporate Compliance Market Conduct Exam team. In this role, you will oversee and support market conduct exams from state regulators, working closely with internal teams to gather information, prepare responses, and ensure the company meets all regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead planning and execution of compliance initiatives.
- Implement policies and processes that support strong compliance practices.
- Manage team operations, including budget, staffing, and performance.
- Drive improvements in systems, reporting, and automation related to exam work.
- Market Conduct Exam Management
- Coordinate market conduct exams across business areas and with Legal.
- Serve as the main point of contact for state regulators and third‑party auditors.
- Ensure accurate, timely collection and delivery of exam materials.
- Oversee responses to exam findings and corrective action plans.
- Maintain strong documentation of all exam‑related work.
- Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Advise on compliance standards to reduce regulatory risk.
- Partner with various internal teams, including Legal, to coordinate market conduct exams.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, auditing, and monitoring processes.
- Guide cross‑functional partners in responding to regulatory requests.
- Communicate compliance expectations and drive ethical decision‑making across the organization.
- 10 years in Compliance, Regulatory, Legal, or Market Conduct Exam roles, including experience with Health Care Benefits.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional teams and projects.
- Ability to influence decisions across all organizational levels.
- Skilled at escalating risks appropriately.
- Experience in auditing or market conduct exams within healthcare, managed care, or PBM.
- Experience as a state market conduct examiner.
- Background in project management and developing audit or corrective action plans.
- Experience working directly with regulators or auditors.
- Law degree (JD).
Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience.
Pay Range$ – $ (base annual salary; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors).
