Mandatory Onsite Interview Position Summary
Seeking a Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst to support revenue cycle operations through data analysis, reporting, and revenue cycle systems support. This role operates within the Clinical Informatics function and serves as a key liaison between revenue cycle leadership, finance, and information technology teams.
The analyst will be responsible for evaluating operational and financial data, developing reporting solutions, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting optimization initiatives that enhance billing accuracy, reimbursement, and overall revenue cycle performance.
This is a non-clinical position with no direct patient care responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze operational, financial, and revenue cycle data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance revenue cycle reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Support revenue cycle operations including billing, claims processing, reimbursement, collections, and denial management.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle leadership, finance, and IT teams to improve financial and operational performance.
- Support EHR implementation, optimization, governance, and related clinical informatics initiatives.
- Leverage healthcare reporting and business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights.
- Bridge clinical documentation workflows with revenue cycle outcomes to improve reimbursement accuracy.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations, healthcare financial systems, or healthcare reporting environments.
- Experience working with hospital revenue cycle systems and/or Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms.
- Experience developing reports using healthcare reporting tools or business intelligence solutions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Billing and claims processing
- Reimbursement methodologies
- Revenue cycle workflows
- Denial management
- Proven ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings effectively to business and technical audiences.
- Experience supporting Clinical Informatics initiatives.
- Experience with EHR optimization and governance activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills in healthcare environments.
