This role will serve as a strategic partner for the Enterprise Workforce Management team and operational leaders. The primary responsibilities of this role will center around the maintenance and innovation of business practices and volume drivers that enhance budgeting exercises with the intent of supporting leaders to make more informed decisions about their workforce and enabling an accurate store/week level labor budget.
A successful candidate will be able to develop strong business relationships with key partners (Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Industrial Engineering, and other business owners) to help leverage and streamline data and reporting processes around labor budgets, labor forecasting as well as other Enterprise Workforce Management initiatives.
A successful candidate will also leverage technical skills (SQL, Excel, Tableau, GCP, Snowflake, etc.) to develop reporting, modeling, and data visualization around a wide array of Workforce Management and budgeting needs. At the core of their skillset will be a transformative mindset, questioning/challenging the status quo and leveraging data and reporting to tell business stories about potential outcomes and investments as well as identifying key risks to the organization.
Required Qualifications- 2+ years' experience connecting multiple data sets from different sources
- 2+ years' experience with budgeting processes
- 2+ years' experience with continuous improvement and capacity planning
- Ability to participate in complex projects of strategic importance involving cross-functional teams
- Intermediate SQL skills and relational database concepts
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Access (queries, macros, forms), Tableau, Python/R, and Snowflake
- An interest and ability to dissect complex data systems to reconcile outputs and trace unexpected results.
- Interest in developing skills within analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets
- Ability to influence leaders to change thinking
- Occasional travel may be required, based on business needs
