Job Title:

Site Laborer

The Construction Laborer supports a wide range of environmental construction projects by performing physically demanding field work as part of a crew. Responsibilities include remediation, demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap and closure projects. This role requires strong physical endurance, comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions, and the ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while supporting environmental cleanup and construction operations.

Pay will range from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a crew of 4–5 or 10–15 laborers on construction and remediation projects.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks that require regularly pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 50 pounds.
  • Work aloft and at heights, including climbing ladders, staging, scaffolding, and using other aerial equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Spend long hours on your feet performing general labor, environmental cleanup, and construction support activities.
  • Work in various outdoor conditions, including snow, rain, cold, and heat, while maintaining productivity and safety.
  • Perform tasks above shoulder height and in tight or confined quarters as project conditions require.
  • Support environmental remediation and cleanup activities, including handling and removing debris and materials from project sites.
  • Assist with demolition, excavation, dredging, utility work, and landfill cap and closure tasks as directed by project supervisors.
  • Operate or assist with operating equipment such as a street sweeper, rock truck, roller, and water truck, as needed and as trained.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including OSHA and HAZWOPER standards where applicable.
  • Travel to various project sites within New England as required by project needs.
  • Maintain reliable attendance, arrive on time to job sites, and work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in utility construction or environmental work.
  • Strong physical condition and endurance, with the ability to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work aloft and at heights, including climbing ladders, staging, scaffolding, and other aerial equipment.
  • Comfort working long hours on your feet in a physically demanding role.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, cold, and heat.
  • Capability to work above shoulder height and in tight or confined spaces when required.
  • Experience with general labor tasks in construction, environmental labor, and environmental cleanup or remediation.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to support operation and maintenance of construction and environmental equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach project sites.
  • OSHA 10-Hour certification.
