Real Estate Development, Real Estate Project Manager
Job Description
Steer mixed-use, institutional, commercial, and residential projects from pre-development through construction. You own the schedule, budget, and contract administration while getting hands-on exposure to design, finance, and permitting. This is the owner’s seat: you represent the project across consultants, contractors, and municipalities.
Why this roleBreadth most PMs never get. Design coordination, finance, permitting, and entitlement in one job, across four asset types, from pre-development through construction. Real ownership. You run budgets, pay apps, change orders, and procurement, plus construction meetings and municipal coordination. 60% of your week is on sites and in meetings, not buried in admin. Close to the decisions. High exposure to leadership with structured mentorship, in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial firm.
Whatyou’ll do
- Manage design and construction teams across development and third-party OPM projects
- Own schedules, budgets, and contract administration (pay apps, change orders, procurement)
- Maintain documentation: agendas, minutes, logs, drawing sets, submittals
- Track permitting milestones and drive the entitlement process
- Develop RFPs and review consultant and contractor bids
- Support feasibility studies, design coordination, and funding applications
3 to 5 years managing construction or real-estate development projects (owner’s-rep / OPM weighted). Command of schedules, budgets, and contract administration. Willingness to be on sites and in front of municipal officials regularly. Strong documentation discipline.
Preferred: permitting and entitlement experience, RFP and bid review, feasibility and funding-application support, Procore / MS Project / Primavera.
