Project Executive / Senior Project Manager Providence Architecture and Building Co. – THE PROVIDENCE GROUP About Us

The Providence Group is one of the fastest-growing real estate development organizations in the region. As a fully integrated, interdisciplinary firm, we manage every phase of the development lifecycle—from entitlements and design through construction, delivery, and long-term ownership.

Our boutique design-build division, Providence Architecture and Building Co., operates at the center of this ecosystem, delivering high-quality, design-forward projects across residential, mixed-use, and historic adaptive reuse sectors. Upon completion, our projects are often retained within our portfolio and managed by our in-house leasing, property management, and maintenance teams—allowing us to maintain long-term control over quality and performance.

Our current pipeline includes some of the region’s most forward-thinking developments, including a state-of-the-art 350-unit contemporary waterfront residential project, along with numerous high-visibility historic preservation and adaptive reuse initiatives.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Project Executive to join our growing team.

This is a unique leadership role that blends the strategic oversight of a Project Executive with the hands-on execution with our fast growing team. The position requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in managing complex development projects from pre-construction through completion.

You will play a critical role in shaping projects, building teams, strengthening vendor and subcontractor relationships, and elevating the overall capabilities of our organization. As a vertically integrated group, this position will also be expected to occasionally provide support to Property Management, and Maintenance by assisting with contracting, scheduling, and problem-solving complex diagnostics and repairs of existing properties that are outside of the skillset of our on-staff maintenance team.

This role reports directly to the Director of Construction, is supported daily by an Assistant Project Manager, and maintains direct communication with the firm’s Managing Partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from early-stage master planning through completion and turnover
  • Build and manage high-performing project teams across internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and municipal authorities
  • Contribute to company growth by expanding capabilities, processes, and partnerships
Pre-Construction & Planning
  • Run point on pre-construction efforts including budgeting, scheduling, and feasibility analysis
  • Collaborate with internal design teams to review plans and ensure constructability
  • Provide input on design decisions, materials, and systems to optimize cost and performance
  • Develop detailed scopes of work and procurement strategies
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Oversee financial reporting, including Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports and forecasting
  • Prepare and review monthly requisitions, including bank draws
  • Track procurement logs, pricing, and lead times for all owner-supplied materials
Execution & Field Coordination
  • Work closely with Superintendents to maintain quality, safety, and schedule adherence
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Oversee subcontractor bidding, negotiation, and contract awards
  • Ensure compliance with permitting, inspections, and Certificate of Occupancy requirements
Closeout & Post-Construction
  • Lead project closeout processes, including documentation and turnover
  • Coordinate with internal property management and leasing teams
  • Provide support and guidance on complex capital repairs, renovations, or reconstruction efforts
