Dentist

The Providence Community Health Centers, Inc. seeks a full-time Dentist to provide comprehensive outpatient dental care in a federally qualified health center setting in Providence. The Dentist will deliver preventive, restorative, and urgent dental services for children and adults, emphasizing patient-centered, culturally sensitive care for diverse and underserved populations. Responsibilities include examinations, treatment planning, procedures, documentation in an EHR, supervision of support staff, and collaboration with medical and behavioral health teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and urgent dental care to pediatric and adult patients
• Conduct examinations, diagnostics, and treatment planning using evidence-based standards
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Educate patients and families on oral health, prevention, and treatment options
• Collaborate with medical, behavioral health, and care management teams to coordinate whole-person care
• Ensure adherence to infection control, OSHA, and clinical quality standards
• Supervise and support dental hygienists, assistants, and other dental support staff
• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and clinical protocols development
• Contribute to community outreach and health education initiatives as needed
• Support the mission and values of a nonprofit, federally qualified health center serving underserved communities
