About Mojo Tech

Mojo Tech is a US‑based software design and development consultancy with clients like Angi, Under Armour, Credit Karma, Aetna, and Miller Knoll. We design and engineer distributed systems and mobile applications for big, and soon‑to‑big companies—helping enterprises move faster, and startups build smarter.

We’re a growing team of ambitious, authentic, smart, and pragmatic people. Our mission is to practice engineering and design excellence, to foster an enjoyable environment that allows everyone to reach their potential, to work in a sustainable way, and to help our clients succeed.

About the Role

We partner with clients to solve their toughest business challenges. As a Product Designer, you are a dual threat: a strategic advisor who drives product strategy and a master practitioner who translates that vision into world‑class digital products.

You will drive the pursuit of new opportunities, interfacing directly with clients to shape their roadmap and scope work responsibly. But you don't stop at the strategy; you lead the charge through rigorous user research and high‑fidelity execution, maintaining end‑to‑end ownership of every design decision.

You’ll play a pivotal role in improving our internal design processes while delivering exceptional work for clients. We’re looking for designers who lead pursuits with confidence and ship pixel‑perfect interfaces with speed. We value autonomy, strategic influence, and the craft of design in equal measure.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers and clients daily.
  • Lead and support ideation sessions, workshops, and presentations with clients online and in‑person.
  • Translate user needs and business goals into UX foundations via user interviews, journey maps, workflows, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and testing.
  • Produce innovative visual designs that are unique and distinct to the client’s brand.
  • Ensure final design concepts are on‑budget and deliver on product strategy goals.
  • Support Engineers through implementation by providing clear, comprehensive design specifications.
  • Help set the bar for our core design values and have a voice in improving our design process.
  • Give and receive design critiques to help constantly refine and push our work.
Client & Pre‑Sales Collaboration
  • Participate in early sales conversations to understand client needs, constraints, and goals.
  • Contribute to design estimates, scoping, and phased approaches in partnership with the internal delivery team.
  • Support proposal and RFP responses by articulating design strategy, approach, and rationale.
  • Help identify risks, assumptions, and tradeoffs before work begins.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years designing digital products that have shipped and scaled.
  • Experience working directly with external clients in a consultancy or agency setting, including presenting work and incorporating feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience presenting design decisions to non‑design stakeholders.
  • Proven experience responding to RFPs and contributing to client proposals.
  • Experience shaping project scope, estimating design work, and planning within constraints.
  • A portfolio with at least 3 end‑to‑end examples demonstrating your proficiency in information, interaction, interface, and visual design.
  • A track record of shipping designs across various platforms (web, mobile, native applications etc.) and for common libraries such as Apple HIG and Material Design.
  • Expertise in Figma, including building and maintaining scalable, accessible design systems.
  • A track record of designing within technical constraints and delivering developer‑ready design documentation and guidance.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into your design process, with real‑world examples showing impact, quality, and rigor.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Experience using AI tools like V0, Lovable, or Figma Make to enhance your craft.
  • A working knowledge of HTML, CSS and other front‑end technologies like React or Tailwind.
  • Experience designing AI‑enabled applications and workflows.
  • Experience designing for fintech and large‑scale B2C or B2B ecommerce…
