Architecture (Entry-Level) | SMMA
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at SMMA, located in Providence, RI. SMMA is an integrated design firm that combines architecture, engineering, interior design, and planning to solve complex design challenges for a diverse client base. This role is crucial for supporting the planning, design, and documentation phases of architectural projects, allowing a recent graduate or early-career professional to contribute to technical and design solutions under the guidance of experienced architects.

Hybrid, Providence, RI - Pay: $60000–$65000 yearly
- Team:
Works under the guidance of licensed architects and coordinates with internal architectural and engineering teams. - Mission:
Supports the planning, design, and documentation of architectural projects. - Tech Stack: BIM-centered workflow, digital design and management tools
- Assist with conceptual design, programming, and space planning efforts.
- Prepare presentation materials, including drawings, physical models, and reports.
- Support the development of schematic and design development drawings.
- Coordinate with internal architectural and engineering team members.
- Research building materials, products, codes, and regulations for projects.
- Background:
Bachelor’s or Professional degree in Architecture. - Experience:
0-2 years of professional experience, with familiarity in a BIM-centered workflow and other digital design and management tools. - Skills:
Capable of building relationships with various stakeholders, committed to pursuing excellence in written, visual, and verbal communication, flexible, proactive, and optimistic. - Bonus:
Master’s degree, in pursuit of Architectural licensure, or LEED, WELL, or other sustainable accreditations.
