Women & Infants Hospital one of the national leading specialty hospitals for women and newborns is seeking a Breast Surgeon to join our renowned Breast Health Program in Providence, Rhode Island. Women & Infants is a major teaching affiliate of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University that provides a comprehensive array of services to meet the needs of women throughout their lifespan.
At our Breast Health Center, we combine advanced technologies and a full array of treatment options including: mammography, breast MRI, surgery, genetic counseling and prevention, lymphedema, rehabilitation and survivorship programs. Our integrative therapy services offer nutritionists, navigators, therapy dogs and support groups to help ease a patients discomfort and better manage their journey body, mind and spirit.
- Diagnose and surgically treat benign and malignant breast diseases, with a focus on breast cancer care with rotational 2nd call
- Evaluate patients and determine appropriate surgical treatment plans
- Provide comprehensive peri-operative care, patient counseling, and ongoing surveillance
- Team: oncologists, breast surgeons, APCs, RNs, MAs, LICSWs, and genetic counselors
- Potential Academic appointment with Brown University Alpert Medical School
- Precepting opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows
- EPIC implemented across the health system
- Fellowship-training in Breast Surgical Oncology preferred
