* Long Term Substitute (Part-time hours) from April 6
-June 5, 2026, with the possibility of
extending to Fall Semester 1 for the 2026/2027 school year.
Lincoln School seeks a dynamic and enthusiastic part-time, long-term substitute French Teacher for our Upper School program, working with students aged 14 to 16 years. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator committed to fostering a love for the French language and Francophone cultures. This role involves teaching one Upper School section, with a focus on oral proficiency, cultural competency, and student-centered learning.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction using existing curriculum and instructional materials in support of the school’s mission
- Work within the World Languages program and access department resources and support as needed
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages language learning
- Hold office hours – 11:45a – 12:30p. Ideally available at least once per week.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in French; understands both oral and written
- Prior teaching or instructional experience; can support student learning in a structured classroom environment, preferably in an independent or private school setting.
- Enjoys working with the age group of 14–16 years and supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility with scheduling
- Educational technology skills, including online textbook platforms, Google Classroom, online grade books, and language-learning apps.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
Education and/or
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in French, Education, or related field
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not supervise any other employees at Lincoln School.
