Village Green Charter School (VGCS) is seeking a passionate and innovative English Language Arts teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. VGCS is an ideal environment for educators who value personalized learning, strong student relationships, and small-group instruction.

With all class sizes capped at a maximum of 16 students, teachers are able to provide targeted support through individualized instruction and meaningful student engagement. Our Downtown Providence location also allows students and staff to take advantage of experiential and mobile learning opportunities throughout the city.

Village Green Charter School was the first school in Rhode Island intentionally designed as a personalized blended learning model. Students and teachers have endless opportunities to be creative in the development of new skills and learning experiences.

At the heart of our school is our mission: “At Village Green Charter School, we believe that education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunity and to empower our students to pursue their dreams, contribute to their communities, and make a positive impact on the world through real world experiences that incorporate innovative technology, a dual enrollment college experience, and internships with local businesses and community leaders that allow the free expression of creativity and personalized learning.”

VGCS proudly maintains a 100% graduation rate and a 98% college acceptance rate. Through our highly successful dual enrollment program, many students graduate having already earned 6–9 college credits.

VGCS utilizes the HMH curriculum and is highly SAT-focused, with an emphasis on literacy development, analytical writing, evidence-based reading, and SAT‑aligned instructional practices that prepare students for college readiness and success beyond high school.
