Job Description

Village Green Charter School (VGCS) is seeking a passionate and innovative Math teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. VGCS is an ideal environment for educators who value personalized learning, strong student relationships, and small-group instruction.

With all class sizes capped at a maximum of 16 students, teachers are able to provide targeted support through individualized instruction and meaningful student engagement. Our Downtown Providence location also allows students and staff to take advantage of experiential and mobile learning opportunities throughout the city.

Established in 2013, VGCS was the first school in Rhode Island intentionally designed as a personalized blended learning model. Students and teachers have endless opportunities to be creative and innovative in the development of new skills and learning experiences. VGCS serves students from across the state through the Enroll

RI lottery system.

VGCS proudly maintains a 100% graduation rate and a 98% college acceptance rate. Through our highly successful dual enrollment program, students graduate having already earned 6–9 college credits.

At the heart of our school is our mission: “At Village Green Charter School, we believe that education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunity and to empower our students to pursue their dreams, contribute to their communities, and make a positive impact on the world through real world experiences that incorporate innovative technology, a dual enrollment college experience, and internships with local businesses and community leaders that allow the free expression of creativity and personalized learning.”

VGCS utilizes the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum and values instructional practices that promote critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and real‑world application of mathematical concepts. VGCS is also highly SAT-focused, with an emphasis on data‑driven instruction, SAT‑aligned problem solving, and preparing students for college readiness and success beyond high school.
