The Management and Marketing Department within the School of Business at Rhode Island College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing. The successful candidate will teach courses related to Marketing and contribute to the program’s ongoing development, housed within the School of Business. This role also involves scholarly research, advising students, curriculum development and contributing to initiatives within the department, the college, and the broader business community.
Primary duties include:
- Teach three courses in marketing, including but not limited to introductory and advanced level courses.
- Advise and mentor undergraduate students, guiding their academic progress, internships and career development.
- Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the department’s programs.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as part of faculty governance.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Excellent teaching skills with strong knowledge of content areas and the ability and enthusiasm to deliver this knowledge to undergraduate students.
- The willingness to work collegially with other faculty in the School of Business is also necessary.
Education: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or closely related field; ABD may be considered.
Experience: Teaching experience at the college level is desired; industry experience is also an asset but not required.
Preferred Qualifications- Bilingual
