Special Education Teacher Needed!
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Position Type: Full-Time, School-Year
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse learners, strong skills in differentiated instruction, and a passion for literacy development in grades K-12
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to students with IEPs in an inclusive and/or pull-out setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans in collaboration with the IEP team.
- Use data-driven strategies to assess student progress and adapt instruction as needed.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful classroom environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's preferred).
- Rhode Island Teaching Certification Required
- Experience teaching all grade levels
- Strong understanding of evidence-based literacy practices and multi-tiered systems of support.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
