Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 20, 2026
Hours: Monday – Thursday from 8:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
Pay Rate: $40/hr contingent upon funding
Job Description: The Intervention Specialist will serve on the Evaluation Team as the LEA for all meetings.
Education, Training, and Experience- In depth knowledge of preschool processes and requirements, early childhood development, RIELDS (RI Early Learning and Development Standards), and completion of all modules on the RIDE website to facilitate and collect data for the COS (Child Outcomes Summary) Entry Assessment for all pre‑school children during referral and eligibility.
- Working knowledge of transition, including inventories, assessments, and transition planning.
- Certification and experience in areas corresponding to case load needs.
- Experience with creation of IEPs in Power School.
- Working knowledge of Power School for documentation of evaluations, eligibility, and IEP placements.
Current Rhode Island Teacher Certificate(s) in appropriate subject area.
- ECH PK‑2, Sp. Ed. and Early Childhood PK‑2.
Additional RIDE Requirements:
Rhode Island Early Learning and Development standards classroom training.
- Complete all Early Childhood cases.
- Complete all Pre‑k evaluations.
- Prioritize EI cases, including review of transitions, new referrals, completion of evaluations and documentation related to the case.
- Contact parents (phone calls and letters) to schedule evaluation sessions and meetings.
- Document all attempts to contact families and results of that contact.
- Complete formalized testing in area of certification and write corresponding evaluations.
- Complete documentation required for eligibility, inclusive of prior written notice of eligibility.
- Complete prior written notices for IEP meetings.
- Participate as a member of a TQP for eligibility and IEP meetings.
- Weekly submission of timesheets, activity logs, and completed files.
- Commit to work all of the days indicated in the posting.
- Input all necessary documentation in Skyward and Power School.
- Case manage all cases assigned.
- Experience with Power School, Skyward, COS, training in the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards and Early Childhood procedures and processes to act as LEA.
Part‑Time
Salary: $40 to $40 Summer
