Rooted in the Dominican tradition of disputatio and inspired by the life of Rev.
Robert
A. Morris, O.P., the Institute seeks to build the conditions for the flourishing of all members of the human family through intellectual and personal engagement that reflect the principles of the Beloved Community.
A. Morris Institute, developing a cohesive vision with programming that serves as a curriculum for faculty, staff, and students to learn to dialogue openly and honestly about essential and pressing issues of campus life and the contemporary world. This curriculum should cultivate a habit of disputatio in service of the search for Truth as well as educate the campus community in a Catholic understanding of the common good and the preferential option for the poor.
The Institute needs to be positioned to respond to experiences of injustice on campus. (50%)

- Perform all other duties as may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Five to seven years’ experience in communicating human dignity, racial justice, and Catholic Social Teaching or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to consult and facilitate conversations between multiple constituencies.
- Knowledge in the area of civil discourse and dialogue.
- Knowledge of Catholic social thought and the Catholic intellectual tradition.
- Ability to collaborate on projects with others.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
