Summer Pre-K Special Education Team – Educational Coordinator Support (up to 3 positions)
Location: Pre-K Office
Program Dates:
Session 1 – Mon‑Thurs July 6-28, 2026
Session 2 – Mon‑Thurs July 29‑August 20, 2026 (excl. August 10, 2026)
Pay Rate $40/hr contingent upon funding
Job Description: Begin scheduling the 2025‑2026 State Pre‑K Calendar; assist with registrations for State Pre‑K; plan the 2025‑2026 school year and complete deliverables for State Pre‑K; print and disseminate documents; work on all other State Pre‑K programmatic improvements and needs with the Pre‑K manager, principals, and Executive Director of Student Supports.
Education, Training, and Experience- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
- Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Program level training certificate
- State training on State Pre‑K deliverables
- RIDE training on utilizing and entering data properly in ECEDS system
- Thorough knowledge of the ECEC approval process and RIDE requirements
Current Rhode Island Teacher Certificate(s) in appropriate subject area
- ECR PK‑2 Special Education
Additional RIDE Requirements:
Rhode Island Early Learning and Development standards classroom training
- Update RIDE State Pre‑K deliverables
- Register children from lottery and manage waitlist
- Plan schedule
- Create accurate program self‑assessment plan
- Follow up on program improvements with the principals
- Complete and upload IPDP’sto ECEDS
- Create and upload transition plans
- Thorough knowledge of the ECEC approval process, RIDE requirements, and Bright Stars
- Early Childhood PK‑2 Certification
- RIELDS Program level certificate
- Thorough knowledge of the current child outreach process and the screening tools utilized
