Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Providence, Rhode Island. Responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans, providing specialized instruction to students with autism, behavioral disorders, and learning disabilities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Key Responsibilities:- Rhode Island Early Childhood Special Education teacher certification (active/valid) with appropriate SPED coursework/degree and required district/state SPED endorsements for IEP instruction.
- Minimum 1 year of special education experience in school settings, including IEP development and implementation, case management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; experience supporting students with autism, behavioral disorders, and learning disabilities.
- Availability to work scheduled days.
- Demonstrated collaboration with teachers, staff, and school-based stakeholders.
- Ability to align instruction to students' IEP goals and behavioral supports.
- Professionalism and strong communication skills.
- Standard background check readiness.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a W2 basis (no sponsorship required).
Skills:
- Experience with data-driven progress monitoring and measurable student outcomes (preferred/expected).
