CTE Programming And Work-Based Learning Coordinator
The Providence Public School District (PPSD) serves approximately 22,000 students attending our 35 schools. PPSD employs more than 3,200 professionals who work in and provide support to our schools, which include 19 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 10 high schools and 2 public district charter schools. Of our employees, approximately 2,000 are educators, and more than 600 others directly support students and families in our schools.
Our schools are diverse learning communities. Approximately 68% of our students are Latinx, 15% Black, 7% White, 4% Asian, 5.5% Multi-racial and 1% Native American. Approximately 40% of students are multilingual learners, and about 16% of students receive special education services. Approximately 55% of students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Combined, our students and families speak more than 55 different languages and hail from 91 countries of origin.
Position Summary:The CTE Programming and Work-Based Learning Coordinator will join an energetic team of professionals charged with improving the quality, outcomes, equity, and scale of Career and Technical Education programming across the Providence Public Schools. This role integrates district-wide oversight of CTE program implementation, outcomes tracking, budgeting and procurement, and work-based learning (WBL) experiences, including internships, field trips, and competitive events.
The Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring that CTE programs are fully resourced, compliant with grant requirements, aligned to standards, and connected to meaningful real-world workforce experiences for students.

CTE Department Goals- 60% of graduating seniors achieve CTE Completer Status
- 30% of graduates achieve Gold Status
- 50% of graduating seniors meet WBL requirements through an external internship
- 120 graduating seniors accept an entry-level industry position upon graduation
- 100 non-CTE seniors engage in workforce development training
- Assist Executive CTE Director to ensure all CTE grants (Perkins, Categorical, equipment, and reserve grants) are fully expended in compliance with timelines, rules, and regulations
- Ensure accurate, timely tracking and reporting of CTE program outcomes and WBL participation
- Expand equitable access to high-quality work-based learning, internships, and workforce experiences
- Maintain efficient systems for procurement, inventory, data tracking, and compliance
- Support CTE instructors to ensure programs are aligned to industry standards, adequately resourced, and properly equipped
- Track, analyze, and present district-wide CTE outcomes data, ensuring alignment between outcomes trackers and the student information system
- Support monthly updates of outcomes trackers and provide technical assistance to instructors and school leaders
- Serve as a liaison to co-curricular and industry-aligned organizations
- Manage district-wide systems for internal and external internships, including tracking participation and maintaining a centralized database
- Oversee timelines, permission packets, compliance documentation, and logistics for internships, field trips, off-site learning, and competitive events
- Assist with the development and maintenance of a district-wide calendar of CTE field trips, competitions, and off-site experiences
- Promote equitable access to WBL and workforce development opportunities for all students
- Assist with the management of district-wide procurement of equipment, supplies, materials, services, certifications, and credentials for all CTE programs
