Rhode Island College is creating a pool of qualified candidates for potential adjunct faculty positions across various departments, including but not limited to Biology, Chemistry, English, First Year Writing, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Political Science, and Psychology. We seek dedicated and dynamic educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for our diverse student body.

• Applicants must have authorization to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Appointment is contingent upon receipt of an acceptable background screening conducted once selected for the position.
• Adjuncts become eligible to join the RIC/AFT Adjunct Union if they complete 6 load hours (excluding applied music) within the two previous consecutive years. Payment is made once a month; applicable taxes are withheld.
• There are no fringe benefits with this position.
• Upon hire, a candidate will be required to provide an official transcript of the highest degree earned.

• Writing samples, teaching evaluations, and/or letters of recommendation are not required at the time of application and are required only if requested directly by the department chair.

The rate is $1602 per credit hour. The position is classified as FLSA exempt.
