Position Overview

Teach Snapology programs, promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem‑solving while educating students on STEAM concepts. Work with multiple locations, represent Snapology to parents and children, and maintain a high degree of professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum‑guided activities.
  • Instruct and monitor students during the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with Snapology’s disciplinary systems.
  • Encourage and monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum, watching training videos, or participating in face‑to‑face training.
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.
  • Encourage enrollment of students in future Snapology programs.
  • Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Current criminal and child clearances.
  • Two or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
  • College degree or teaching experience preferred; teachers or education students also considered.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to organize teaching materials.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
Programs
  • Weekday after‑school and/or evening classes.
  • Weekend workshops and birthday parties.
  • Summer camps.
  • Special events and holiday school break workshops.
  • Weekday in‑school classes.
Schedule & Compensation
  • Part‑time (typically 6–30 hours per week based on availability and time of year).
  • Hourly pay $18.00 – $25.00.
