Position Overview
The Department of Economics invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor positions beginning Fall 2026. The appointment is for one year with a teaching load of three (3) courses per semester.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching load of three (3) courses per semester.
- Teach Microeconomics Principles and Macroeconomics Principles; additionally, Sports Economics, Public Finance, and Labor Economics desirable.
- Courses taught in-person at the Providence College campus.
- Demonstrated commitment to effective and inclusive teaching with diverse students.
- A master’s degree in economics is required;
PhD or ABD is preferred. - Ability to teach Microeconomics Principles and Macroeconomics Principles; ability to teach higher-level courses such as Sports Economics, Public Finance, and Labor Economics desired.

SalaryThe salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000.
