Spanish Teacher
Providence Country Day School, an independent school serving students in grades PK-12, seeks a dynamic, versatile educator who will serve as a part‑time Spanish teacher in the Lower School.
PCD offers Spanish courses from Pre‑K through Advanced Placement in the Upper School. The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach weekly Spanish classes to our PK‑4 students. Candidates with the background and versatility to teach a range of levels are strongly encouraged to apply; we are willing to provide professional development for interested candidates. In addition to introducing and developing skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, the language department strives to expose its students to other cultures—historic and modern—to give them a fuller understanding of customs, beliefs, and ways of thinking.
Candidates should be collaborative team players with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the classroom and the workplace. Experience with or background in project‑based learning and differentiated instruction is desired. This teacher should plan to be part of a collaborative faculty team and an integral component of students’ lives.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher). PCD students use technology in a variety of ways in every discipline.
