• Implement classroom routines and support student transitions throughout the school day
• Provide individualized and small-group academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support
• Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional activities, and adapting materials to meet diverse student needs
• Support implementation of IEP goals and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), including data collection and progress monitoring
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment
• Assist students with communication, self-regulation, social skills, adaptive functioning, and personal care needs as assigned
• Monitor student progress and communicate concerns to appropriate staff members
• Participate in timely data services input for Medicaid billing
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• • Must have an Associate's degree, 60 college credits specific to Education or Special Education
  • OR
  • Have completed a RIDE approved Teacher Assistant Training class with certificate and passed the Para Pro Exam
  • CPI/Deescalation Training
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of child development
    • Experience preferred in behavioral intervention techniques and social-emotional learning learning
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to be flexible within environment
    • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
