Pool - Substitute Administrator (SY 26-27)
Providence Public Schools District (PPSD) seeks exceptional SUBSTITUTE ADMINISTRATORS to join our community of teachers, students, and stakeholders.
We serve approximately 22,000 students at 37 elementary, middle, and high schools. Approximately 55% of students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Combined, our students and families speak over 75 different languages and hail from 91 countries of origin.

Substitute - Salary: $375 to $425 Per Day
- Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure success for every student
- Supervises students in a variety of school‑related settings
- Communicates and interacts with students and staff
- Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities
- Per Diem Substitute Administrator: $375/day
- Long‑term assignments may be compensated at a higher rate in accordance with District guidelines.
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in educational administration/leadership
- Minimum of five (5) years in teaching experience
- Must have had experience in an educational leadership position, such as one gained through academic coaching or as a certified administrator
- Rhode Island Department of Education Certification Building Administrator K‑12
Duties & Responsibilities
