Apex is seeking a talented Project Manager with Stormwater Infrastructure and Water Resources experience to join our Northeast Division Stormwater Infrastructure Group.
The candidate selected for this position must reside near one of the following Apex offices:
Quincy, MA;
Woburn, MA;
Providence, RI; and Glastonbury, CT. They will have the option of working in the office full-time, on a hybrid schedule, or from home, but they must be available to travel to local client and project sites.
- Provide technical leadership and project management for a variety of municipal and private stormwater and water resources projects, including design.
- Manage technical staff on complex projects or multiple smaller projects.
- Assist in training and technical development of staff by holding training seminars and providing technical guidance during project execution.
- Assist with strategic planning, training, proposals, and business development.
- Consult with other technical staff and Project Managers on technical challenges in the stormwater and water resources discipline while providing independent technical reviews on stormwater and water resources components of projects for other disciplines.
- Oversee the technical accuracy of projects through regular communications with project staff, review of plans, specifications, reports, and calculations to ensure compliance with the firm s standards.
- Recognize potential risks of nonstandard technical matters or potential legal disputes by participating in required project risk and insurance training to minimize the firm s liability.
- Present project updates and technical information to the client and at public meetings to review and discuss project details.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline
- 8+ years of related experience in stormwater and water resources, including design and project management
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Massachusetts, or the ability to obtain by reciprocity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, staff, subconsultants and contractors through leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulatory framework and experience interacting with regulators in the local and technical areas where Apex does work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong desire to manage and mentor junior staff
- Valid driver s license and clean driving record

Annual Expected Pay Range
$95,000 — $160,000 USD
