The Project Engineer (Civil) plays a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of civil and infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary consulting environment. This position supports project managers and senior engineers in executing projects from concept through construction, ensuring that technical, financial, and schedule objectives are met. The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating design tasks, conducting analyses, preparing engineering drawings and specifications, and assisting in client communications and project documentation.
Working within an engineering consulting firm, the Project Engineer collaborates closely with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients to provide innovative, sustainable, and cost‑effective engineering solutions. The role requires a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, including site development, grading and drainage, utilities, roadway and transportation systems, and water resources.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
- Site design experience includes site grading, stormwater and utility design.
- Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D skills and experience with Hydro
CAD and Storm
CAD. - Ability to meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Active and clear driver’s license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
