- Lead the planning, design, and execution of capital construction and renovation projects.
- Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with operational needs, budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee space planning initiatives and department move management across the health system.
- Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, healthcare standards, and organizational requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in architectural design, construction engineering, or construction project management.
- Experience managing projects from planning and design through construction and closeout.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, specifications, contract administration, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience developing and managing project budgets, schedules, and project finances.
- Ability to coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of building codes, permitting requirements, and regulatory approvals.
- Proficiency with CADD and project management software.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Healthcare facility or hospital project experience strongly preferred.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, funding approvals, and financial performance.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee construction documents, specifications, bidding processes, and project execution.
- Monitor project progress and recommend value engineering and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure quality, client satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery.
- Manage construction activities, inspections, commissioning, testing, and project closeout.
- Review bids, recommend contractor selections, and maintain contract and financial controls.
- Lead stakeholder meetings, project communications, and presentations.
- Obtain required local, state, and federal approvals and permits.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare construction trends, codes, and regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Healthcare, hospital, or medical facility construction experience.
- Experience with capital projects, facility renovations, space planning, and department relocations/move management.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and facility standards.
- Experience with commissioning, permitting, and regulatory approval processes.
- Professional licensure or certifications (Architect, PE, PMP, NCARB, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related design/construction field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural or construction engineering design, construction project management, cost estimating, project coordination, and specification writing.
- Minimum 1 year of CADD experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, design principles, project delivery, and construction documentation.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local building codes and regulations.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and consultants.
- Proficiency with CADD systems, project management software, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
