SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Manager, Financial Planning, performs a variety of professional accounting duties to maintain the accounting systems for system-wide capital projects including preparation of accounting and finance reports, overseeing and participating in day-to‑day problem solving.

- Supports projects with overall accounting and financial activities to measure and monitor project financial performance.
- Creates and maintains project level accounts.
- Completes all postings, allocations, accruals and payments for the project.
- Prepares and distributes monthly reports on project status including budget and forecasting for project reviews.
- Coordinates with project team to reflect changes in project scope or timeline.
- Prepares final project close out.
- Utilizes computer system and database software to enter & extrapolate data for tracking of capital construction projects and financial operations for systemwide capital projects.
- Analyzing & preparing monthly, quarterly & annual reports for Finance to provide information with respect to budget versus actual of capital projects.
- Contributes to the preparation of year end schedules and reports as needed.
- Conducts bi‑weekly capital project review meeting which includes presenting the status of projects and obtaining/updating information from team architects, engineers and project managers.
- Reviews all projects monthly to identify which can be capitalized & report to Finance.
- Work and communicate with system departments, including, but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Procurement/Purchasing & Finance, as well as outside entities, i.e. consultants, contractors & vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required. - Experience:
2‑4 years of related project accounting experience, preferably in a health care environment. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on several assignments simultaneously, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and working independently within established guidelines.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Supervisory responsibility:
None;
May provide functional guidance to others who may be assigned on a project basis.
