Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate to join a Fund Accounting team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of multiple investment funds and will work closely with senior finance leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a strong foundation within private equity finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations
- Record journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with weekly cash reporting and analysis
- Support the execution and tracking of capital calls and distributions
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests
- Respond to limited partner inquiries and ad hoc reporting needs
- Assist with wire transfers and treasury-related activities
- Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably within public accounting or financial services
- CPA or progress toward CPA designation is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting systems such as Workday or Investran is a plus
- Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities
