Project Accountant

Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is currently looking to hire a Project Accountant to join our New England Regional Finance team. This position is hybrid out of our Providence, RI office.

Responsibilities

* Preparation and processing of client invoices including agency workbooks; cover letters; progress reports

* Maintaining records of billing terms as necessary, including rate tables

* Maintain certain client portal access for invoice uploads

* Review and processing of subconsultants invoicing relative to project requirements

* Accounts receivable collection assistance

* Assistance with research & resolution of client questions related to invoicing and payments

* Additional tasks as assigned

Skills and Abilities

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment

* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

* Must be self-motivated with ability to think critically and solve problems as they arise

* Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Acrobat

* Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively & positively with coworkers

Qualifications

* Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience

* 0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience (preferably within the AEC industry)

* Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other similar financial applications a plus
