About this Position

Practice Manager, Cancer Center

Summary: The Practice Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of support services within the Cancer center. This includes delivery of quality, cost effective billing services and compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards. The Practice Manager will oversee scheduling and delegate operational and fiscal activities to include: data entry, medical records maintenance, maintaining daily logs and receipts, making daily deposits, preparing and delivering billing reports and requisitions.

Responsible for overseeing the coordination of janitorial services and equipment upkeep. Responsible for performance assessment of staff and the coordination of vacation/time off schedules, and ordering of supplies.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associates degree preferred.

Experience: Five or more year’s clinical office administrative/ supervisory experience. Oncology experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, fax machine,scanners, and computer.
  • Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to organize and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
