Position Details

  Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

  Near Providence, RI
• Schedule:
  
  Part-Time, 15 hours per week with the chance of full time in October
• Assignment:
  School-Based
• School Sites: 1 school site

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island COTA license
• Previous pediatric experience required (1+ years preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with OTs, educators, and families
• Experience working with a severe caseload
• Open to safety care training (school provided)

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist in IEP development and creation of goals
• Support students with fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills to promote success in the classroom
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to help students meet their goals
