Surgical Tech, Medical Assistant
Responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by handling instrumentation and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards.
Responsibilities- Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist position.
- Maintain Surgical Technologist Certification
- Demonstrate working knowledge of service lines including use of specialized equipment.
- Primary Preceptor for the scrub role.
- Comply with customer service requirements.
- Actively participate in QI programs.
- Respond to emergency situations under the direction of a RN.
- Perform all other job related duties as assigned.
- Maintain and gather supplies to perform job
- Maintain BLS
Graduation of an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Surgical Technologist Certification is required. BLS Certification required.
