Activity Director

Are you a creative and compassionate professional with a passion for enriching the lives of older adults? We're seeking a full-time Activity Director to lead and inspire a vibrant activity program at Arbor Hill Assisted Living located in Providence, RI.

In this dynamic role, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by developing and overseeing programs that enhance the physical, mental and social well-being of residents. • Plan and execute a wide range of engaging, inclusive activities
• Interview residents and families to create personalized activity plans
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress notes
• Coordinate with other departments and provide transportation for outings
• Supervise activity staff and volunteers, and assist residents with crafts, projects, and appointments
• Promote family involvement and foster a warm, supportive environment

• Experience in long-term care, home & community care, or similar settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Background in event planning or recreational therapy
• Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care best practices
• Understanding of social work principles and person-centered care
• Creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit

• Previous experience in an assisted living or nursing home setting preferred
• Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van to take residents out on outings
• Valid driver's license
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, per Rhode Island Department of Health guidelines
