Job Summary

  • Call obligation/EOW/EOH******

The Surgical Technician provides assistance during surgical procedures, and handles equipment and supplies, such as sterilizing, assembly and maintenance. Processes specimens, and prepares area between procedures. Performs other job-related duties to maintain department standards and productivity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency in performing clinical care and assessment of patients of all ages: check which ages apply (newborn, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics).

Assists during surgical procedures, including sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Cares for specimens according to O.R. policy.

Performs necessary cleanup between procedures.

Performs Other Job-related Duties As Required Or Requested.

Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Operation Room Surgical Technician program.
  • Must have and maintain CPR Certification.
  • Proficiency in the English language required.
