About this positionSummary: Performs clinical functions necessary for the efficient operation of the MRI Department.
Education: High school diploma plus satisfactory completion of formal training in an approved school of Radiological Technology. Must be certified or registry eligible within 90 days of completion of an approved school of Radiologic Technology by the ARRT or by the ARMRIT
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
Experience: A minimum of six months of prior training or work experience in MRI is preferred.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Works in a clean, well-lit, well-ventilated area. Exposure to high magnetic fields. Individuals cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields. May be subjected to unpleasant physical conditions of patients. Stands, walks, lifts (medium to heavy weights) most of the day. The possibility of exposure to blood and body fluids does exist in this work environment.
Attends all related safety training and all other training programs as required by outside regulatory agencies and/or audits. Rectifies any specific job-related hazards for all areas of responsibility through appropriate measures.
