Epidemiologist

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Epidemiologist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

Serving as the recognized expert and team lead on the National Program of Cancer Registries-Cancer Surveillance System (NPCR-CSS) and a member of the Branch management team.

Planning, coordinating, conducting, and analyzing complex epidemiological studies using surveillance data to identify disease patterns, risk factors, and populations requiring public health prevention and intervention efforts.

Providing expert scientific and technical consultation on epidemiologic research, surveillance, data analysis, and methodological approaches to public health officials, scientists, health professionals, and other stakeholders.

Translating and disseminating epidemiologic data and scientific findings through reports, manuscripts, presentations, and other technical products to inform public health programs, policies, and evidence-based decision-making.

Providing consultation on National Program of Cancer Registries and to Branch and Section Chiefs in the development of new approaches and methodologies in the utilization and analyses of the NPCR-CSS database.
