About the Facility  This cancer center is affiliated with a large hospital system and provides specialized hematology and oncology services within an outpatient setting. The facility maintains a clinical support team that includes full-time and part-time physicians as well as administrative staff to support coordinated patient care delivery. Clinical documentation is managed through a combination of paper charting and an EMR system, supported by a Dragon dictation system.
About the Facility Location  Providence, Rhode Island's capital city, offers a range of dining, cultural, and recreational activities suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore historic neighborhoods such as College Hill, visit the Rhode Island School of Design Museum, or enjoy scenic waterfront areas including Waterplace Park. The city also serves as a starting point for day trips to coastal towns, beaches, lighthouses, and the Federal Hill district, with additional hands-on experiences such as glass blowing classes available throughout the area.
About the Clinician's Workday  Clinicians will provide outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on-site in Providence, Rhode Island, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, managing 12 to 20 patient encounters per day with a ramp-up period provided toward a target of 20 patients per day. Typical consult appointments are 45 minutes and follow-up appointments are 15 minutes, with flexibility based on clinician preference.

No call coverage is required for the APP in this assignment. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology, prescriptive authority, and hospital privileges are required.
