The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte Hotel (a 605-room dual complex located in Uptown Charlotte with 65,000 sq. ft of meeting and conference space) is seeking a dynamic, motivated, service-oriented bartender to join our Step Stone Hospitality-managed hotel. The bartender will primarily work at City Lights Rooftop. The ideal candidate will have at least three to six months of related experience, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

• Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks for guests.
• Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer.
• Collect money for drinks and food served.
• Order and requisition liquors and supplies.
• Place bottled goods and glasses to create attractive displays.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in bar area.
• Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• Use proper etiquette guidelines with guests.
• Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience required.
• Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates.
• CPR training and first aid training preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.

Bartender rate: $10 per hour.
