Overview
The Holiday Inn Express Ballantyne Hotel is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Step Stone Hospitality managed hotel. As a Front Desk Agent, you will approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Stationed behind the front desk, you will attend to inquiries and requests from both hotel and dining guests, providing information, recommendations, and directions to ensure a satisfactory response.
We are seeking a dynamic individual with a flexible schedule that can fill in 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
Weekdays, weekends, and holidays may be required. Shifts include 1st Shift 7a-3p, 2nd Shift 3p-11p, and 3rd Shift Night Audit 11p-7a.
Responsibilities- Register and assign rooms to guests.
- Issue room key and escort instructions to the Guest Service Agent or directly to the guest.
- Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
- Transmit and receive messages using all communication avenues.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
- Keep records of room availability and rates.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations via all communication avenues.
- Ability to accurately use various office software.
- Have a full working knowledge and expertise of each shift, including night audit.
- Experience in a front desk or hospitality role is preferred.
- Strong guest service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with hotel management systems and standard office software.
- Flexible schedule to cover multiple shifts as needed.
