The Banquet Captain is responsible for assisting with leading events around campus.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with leading events in the Catering Department which include set up, service, breakdown and clean-up of functions or areas on campus.
- Gather and deliver all food and supplies for catered functions to the scheduled locations.
- Clean and pack unused food dishes, utensils, and equipment for safe removal to appropriate locations.
- Handle trash and waste properly.
- Help guests find what they need while keeping all work areas looking clean and tidy.
- Assist with prepping events, working events, and general duties required for the Catering Dept.
- Act as the central liaison between event hosts, kitchen staff, and service teams, ensuring functions strictly adhere to the designated event.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down events.
- Act as main point of contact to immediately resolve guest complaints or sudden logistical changes.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
What You’ll Bring
- Prior catering or lead experience working at a country club, supervisor of staff in food services, or marketing events.
- 1-3 years of hospitality experience and proven leadership.
- Must be able to stand during duration of events.
- Must be flexible on hours available.
- Must work well in a team environment.
