Hotel Manager
The Hotel Manager is responsible for continually focusing on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and developing employees training and engagement, while maintaining the integrity of the hotel.
Responsibilities include participating in hotel sales efforts, touring operating departments, conducting staff meetings, ensuring financial review dates are met, developing managers for future advancement, maintaining direct contact with management trainees, adhering to hotel policies, overseeing budget and forecast processes, ensuring training in service standards, ensuring payroll procedure compliance, ensuring PCI compliance, creating a positive team-oriented environment, inspecting rooms regularly, ensuring complete processing of invoices, ensuring financial document information is received by the corporate office, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the physical property, ensuring employees are attentive and courteous, forecasting the hotel's financial position, preparing and conducting operational management interviews, interviewing prospective final candidates, performing department manager performance appraisals, motivating, coaching, counseling and disciplining management personnel, performing other duties as requested, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees, meeting clients on the property, being in public areas during peak times, ensuring procedures for handling the hotel safe are followed, conducting monthly credit meetings, completing required corporate training modules, ensuring all scheduled meetings take place on the property, and conducting daily W meetings.
Qualifications include at least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field, a Bachelor's Degree preferred, maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor, effective communication skills, multitasking and prioritization skills, attending all hotel required meetings and trainings, maintaining regular attendance, maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, complying with hotel standards and regulations, maximizing efforts towards productivity, handling problems effectively, understanding and evaluating complex information, maintaining confidentiality, and performing light work.
