Human Resources Assistant

Salary: $19.00–$19.50 per hour.

• Support recruiting for the store by developing and maintaining professional relationships with external sources to generate applicant flow, including learning institutions, government agencies, independent organizations (including nonprofit agencies and other employment sources).
• Utilize recruiting tools and employ talent acquisition strategies to source external candidates by conducting on‑site recruiting events, holding job fairs, and shopping the competition to find potential talent.
• Support the posting and updating of open positions on internal and external job boards.
• Process various reports and focus on the administrative tasks associated with HR reporting, policy, and procedure.
• Serve as process liaison for employee relations questions and concerns, leaves of absence, paid time off, workers’ compensation, etc.
• Collaborate with other functional groups including store managers, human resources, training, and payroll.
• Follow up with and track all aspects of employment, such as completing employment forms, conducting orientations, and notifying departments of new hire starting dates.
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of human resources administration or related experience.
• Experience in retail preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and HR systems (Workday strongly preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HR policies and practices, employment law, recruitment and employment practices, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including evenings and weekends.

• Full‑time position with compensation starting at $15.00–$18.00 per hour.
• Competitive hourly rate of $19.00–$19.50 per hour (subject to position level).
