Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing IT vendor contracts and supporting project management activities for a large-scale public sector program. This role ensures vendor compliance with contractual obligations, drives performance against established metrics, and supports procurement and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires strong experience in IT contract administration, vendor management, and complex system implementation environments.

This role is a 100% onsite role

• Administer and manage IT vendor contracts to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions
• Monitor vendor performance using defined deliverables, SLAs, KPIs, and other performance measures
• Establish, track, and manage corrective action plans when performance standards are not met
• Support contract amendments, renewals, and change orders, including participation in negotiations as required
• Coordinate with legal and procurement teams to obtain contract interpretations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
• Support procurement activities, including RFP/RFI development and vendor evaluations, in accordance with applicable purchasing guidelines
• Review and facilitate approval of vendor invoices and associated contract documentation
• Develop and use dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools to support regular vendor performance reviews
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, and compliance obligations
• Provide project management support for continuous process improvement initiatives and other strategic projects
• Provide input and recommendations related to contract management and vendor performance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of IT project management experience, including large-scale system implementations and/or enhancements
• 8–10+ years of IT contract and vendor management experience, including:
  • Statement of Work (SOW) development and scope management
  • RFP/RFI drafting and evaluation participation
  • Contract negotiations related to scope, terms, and pricing
  • Ongoing contract administration, including SLA management, renewals, and change orders
  • Experience managing vendor performance through metrics and governance frameworks
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
  • Experience with ITIL practices, including incident and problem management
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a matrixed environment
• Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Excel, and Power Point
• PMP certification preferred
