IT Business Analyst, Data Analyst
Overview
The Accounts Payable is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating vendor records within the People Soft ERP system. The role ensures vendor information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Location – Remote (based in College Station, TX)
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST
- Create, maintain, and update vendor records in the People Soft ERP system.
- Validate vendor information including bank details, tax forms, address, and compliance documents to ensure accuracy and confirm proper documentation is archived.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Accounts Payable, and business stakeholders to resolve vendor setup issues, discrepancies, and prevent vendor entries.
- Conduct periodic data audits to maintain vendor master data integrity, identify anomalies, and support cleanup initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and data-governance standards while meeting SLA commitments for vendor setup and updates.
- Ensure process guidelines are followed and met as documented.
- Follow all documented process guidelines and contribute to meeting productivity, quality, and accuracy targets.
- Proactively raise process issues to the process lead or team lead as needed.
- Respond to process-related questions, expedite requests, and escalate matters requiring additional support.
- Uphold organizational security practices and compliance standards.
- Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or vendor master data management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with major ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- People Soft ERP experience

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $18.00 – $20.00 per hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
