The Manager, Digital Product is a member of the Technical Product Management team and is responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing the team backlog. This role partners with the Product Lead to drive day to day development for Retail Pharmacy initiatives that generate multi-million dollar business value and touch millions of consumers. It involves working with the Product Owner to streamline execution of team priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of features/components.

This role supports the RxConnect Agile product team.

Responsibilities
  • Team Backlog Maintenance/Prioritization – Maintain the product backlog and facilitate decisions on stories, bug fixes, and technical debt as they move through stages in the team Rally board.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to continually review business needs, refine priorities, outline deliverables, and identify dependencies, opportunities, and risks.
  • Work with Product Managers and stakeholders to decompose features into prioritized user stories that deliver value and tangible business results.
  • Provide subject matter expertise by explaining product vision and user stories to the team to ensure requirements are understood and customer value is delivered.
  • Collaborate with the Business Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Initiative Owner and Solution Architect to clarify requirements.
  • Planning/ Execution – Ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready before development starts and meet the Definition of Done before accepting them as complete.
  • Validate quality by ensuring stories meet acceptance criteria and tests; approve stories as complete.
  • Update product management on story status to align on delivery expectations.
  • Participate in daily sprint ceremonies to facilitate quality and speed of delivery; hold the team accountable for what they committed to deliver.
  • Work with the team to establish regular cadence and manage capacity.
  • Program Increment Planning in Partnership – Maintain relationships within and outside the local team and prepare user stories for inclusion in Program Increment Planning.
  • Partner with Product Management to assist in preparing for the Program Increment Planning.
  • Collaborate with the team to produce the PI system demo and present it to program stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering digital products, features, and/or user stories within an Agile delivery model.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with requirements management tools such as Jira.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the healthcare sector or other highly regulated industries.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for internal partners and external customers.
  • Demonstrates understanding of how product decisions impact end users and internal stakeholders with a customer-centric approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of leadership experience with ability to drive collaboration, engage, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with agile processes such as scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Office:
    Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Experience in user story writing.
Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
