Job Description
We are looking for a contract Level 1 IT Support Specialist for a nonprofit public media organization in Providence, Rhode Island. This role will provide day‑to‑day technical support to internal staff, ensuring reliable systems, networks, and tools during a period of organizational transition and growth.

Google Workspace, printers, network systems
- Provide daily IT support to staff across multiple locations
- Troubleshoot printers, network connectivity, and device issues
- Support Google Workspace and ensure proper system integration
- Assist with computer swaps and network alignment
- Escalate complex issues to external IT partners when needed
- Work closely with IT leadership during a transition period
Compensation: $24 to $26 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Skillsand Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional IT support experience
- Strong understanding of printers, networks, and general IT concepts
- Hands‑on experience with Google Workspace
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- IT degree (preferred)
- Experience in a broadcasting or media environment (preferred)
