Epic Systems Analyst– Resolute Hospital Billing & Claims

Job Summary

This position is responsible for configuring, rolling out, and supporting the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and Claims application. Responsibilities include business/systems analysis, requirements definition, system design, and problem resolution. The analyst communicates with end users to understand issues and implement solutions.

• Plan, design, build, test, implement and support the needs of Epic software.
• Analyze and determine system requirements and specifications. Perform and document workflow analysis while evaluating user experience.
• Support and maintain environments or applications using domain knowledge. Create and maintain documentation and training materials regarding the implementation of applications.
• Use knowledge of Epic to configure changes within Epic environments to provide standardized, comprehensive workflows. Correct issues, conduct routine maintenance, update systems with new functionality, and implement new technologies.
• Provide guidance and support to end‑users to enhance the use of Epic and offer solutions to resolve end‑user system issues.
• Contribute to and manage small to medium projects independently. Update stakeholders as appropriate regarding progress on assigned tasks, projects, and issues.
• Conduct problem‑solving and root cause analysis to resolve routine to moderately complex problems. Identify solutions and complete documentation.

• 3 years of systems administration experience within one or more Epic modules.

• 3+ years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience (Claims, Patient Access, Billing).
• 3+ years of experience with Epic EMR or other EMR applications.

• Ability to handle analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks at basic to moderate levels of complexity.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Use critical thinking skills for assigned tasks.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal teamwork.
• Strong organizational skills in managing priorities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of project management principles as they relate to assigned tasks.

• Associate’s degree.

• 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of an Associate’s degree.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare or relevant experience.

• Epic Application Certification within 180 days of hire.

• Epic Certification in Resolute Hospital Billing and/or Hospital Claims.
